I believe education is essential when attempting to make lifestyle changes. Once you understand sound concepts you begin to own them… to make them yours. It becomes easier to make changes as your desire increases. I wonder how much better off we would all be if we put more research into our decisions. I think we have all fallen prey to blindly following others advice or counsel. Imagine if we made educated, conscious decisions.
There are many different diets out there with many labels and guidelines. Rather than advocating one particular way I would suggest observing how specific foods make you feel. Do some leave you feeling lethargic, bloated, uncomfortable, or achy? Sometimes you may feel sick or uncomfortable after eating and have a difficult time pinpointing the culprit. A food journal can help decipher the problematic food by identifying patterns.
The most sound nutritional advice I have read is to eat food as close to its natural state as possible. This would incorporate many fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, beans, grains, etc… In essence nutrient dense foods= best health.
What are nutritional resources/books that you have found useful?
Do you have any problematic foods that you abstain from?
What tools do you use to help you achieve optimal health?

Thanks for visiting FFC!! Your comment inspires me to keep going on my path to inspire others. To eat healthy is a choice…an essential one at that. I choose to feel as high energy and unburdened as possible at all times. That is why I select and prepare whole foods for myself and my kids. Thanks again for your very sweet compliments!
I love how concise and simply you stated the principle of health… a choice. Thank you for your insight and dedication to helping others.

“tweak it to fit your needs” so important! How many times do we read about superfoods or even philosophies and get discouraged? We have to make things work for us… practicing presence and observation
